MOBILITY
Injury or debilitating disease can have a profound impact on both our physical ability and our mental robustness as we strive to return to previous form or simply to increase our range of motion.
In conjunction with your medical practitioner, physical therapist or osteopath, KiwiStudio uses the GYROTONIC® method to work on rehabilitation and maintenance of your muscles, joints and ligaments to return you to strength and extend your movements.
As you perform each set of exercises, focusing on the breath stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting a sense of calm and reducing stress

GYROTONIC® equipment is highly adjustable. It can be customized to fit each person's unique physique and ability, adapting for height, arm or leg length, strength and range of motion. If necessary it can be non-weight bearing and the flexibility of the design means that additional equipment such as chairs or stools can be utilised alongside the machines to ensure your utmost comfort and support while carrying out the movements.

Taking part in GYROTONIC® classes as part of your regular exercise programme can result in a stronger spine, improved posture and bone density, stronger joints, increased mobility, and balanced neuro-muscular coordination.
Specific Benefits
Injury recovery - the GYROTONIC® method enables you to open up the joints and the surrounding soft tissue. As the joints move and gently stretch it restores blood flow and nourishes the ligaments, which speeds healing
Lower back or cervical spine pain – your GYROTONIC® training encourages you to use the full range of spinal motion, strengthening and stretching all possible sources of back pain
Chronic pain – opens up the joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons and fascia, which may reduce inflammation and tissue damage resulting in reduced pain
Rheumatoid arthritis - GYROTONIC® exercises are specifically designed to articulate your joints and strengthen the surrounding muscles. Improving ligament health can counteract the collagen loss in the joints that happens as we age
Multiple Sclerosis – helps to restore proper body function and integration of all systems: muscular, skeletal, respiratory, circulatory and nervous
Fibromyalgia – the gentle movements associated with GYROTONIC® practice along with corresponding breathing patterns nurture the nervous system and help restore the natural flow of cerebrospinal fluid
